1. My spouse and I want to buy a resale HDB flat
Even couple dreams to own a home, but all couples are not eligible to own a resale HDB flat. To own a HDB flat the couple must be a Singapore Citizen or a Singapore Permanent Resident with a nucleus family.
There are two types of scheme to own a resale flat one is public scheme and the other is Non citizen spouse scheme.
In public scheme you and your spouse should follow certain criteria like citizenship, age, Family Nucleus, income ceiling, ownership of private resident property, Ethnic integration policy and CPF Housing Grant for singles or for family. And for non citizen spouse scheme (NCS) he or she should be eligible for certain conditions like citizenship, age, Family Nucleus, Income Ceiling, Ownership of private residential property, Ethnic integration policies, CPF housing grant for singles.
2. My child and I want to apply for resale HDB flat
If the couple is not separated or divorced and if they like to apply for a resale HDB flat with children. They must apply under Public scheme or the Non citizen family scheme.
If you are divorced or separated or widowed and if your child is under your custody, then you can apply under certain schemes.
3. My finance/finance wants to buy a resale HDB flat
If both the fiance/fiancee are Singapore citizens, then they are eligible under fiancé/fiancés scheeme. If you are getting engaged soon and want to buy a resale HDB flat before your marriage.
If the spouse is not a citizen of Singapore then they will be eligible to buy resale HDB flat under single citizen scheme.
